Alteration Artistry is an appointment-led tailoring studio in Al Dhaayen focused on garment remodelling and upcycling. We help reshape dresses, skirts, shirts, jackets, and vintage pieces with practical design thinking and clear project scope.

Our work is especially suited to sustainability minded customers, vintage clothing owners, and anyone bringing in a garment with personal value. We assess what the fabric can support before any quote is confirmed, so the process stays realistic from the start.

Every redesign begins with a clear concept and written approval before additional work is added. If supplementary materials are needed, they are discussed separately once availability is checked.

Respect for the original piece

We work with existing fabric wherever possible and make thoughtful use of strong sections from the original garment. That makes upcycling practical without promising results the material cannot deliver.

Appointment-led fitting

Appointments are arranged in advance, with fitting time set according to the work involved. The process is organised, measured, and suited to garments that need attention rather than speed alone.

How the studio approach took shape

Built around careful fitting, written scope, and design approval, our process keeps each project clear at every stage. That approach matters when the goal is to preserve useful material while improving the way a garment wears.

Since 2023, Alteration Artistry has focused on garment redesign rather than quick fixes alone. We begin with inquiry, assessment, and redesign consultation, then move to a quoted concept only after the garment and materials have been reviewed.

Projects often include remodelling worn dresses and skirts, restyling shirts and jackets, updating the fit of vintage garments, or turning usable fabric into accessories. Because each piece is different, turnaround and material needs are confirmed individually.

At collection, we review the finished garment again and handle any small agreed adjustments carefully. The aim is a result that feels considered, wearable, and true to the original piece where that matters most.
